Jamal Roque

Amir (Jamal Roque) is an accomplished narrator and actor born in Atlanta and raised in Duval and Miami, Florida- where he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Miami before finishing his Masters in Fine Arts in Acting at Pennsylvania State University.  His work on the novel Black Boy Joy landed on many Best of 2021 Audiobook lists including in Audiofile Magazine. Most known for Kwame Mbalia’s Tristan Strong trilogy, other highlights include being featured on Four Hundred Souls edited by Ibram X. Kendi, I Got There by JeVon McCormick and narrating Dr. Ian K.
