The series came to a close, but the story lives on. Expeditionary Force Book 15: Failure Mode made the December 2022 The New York Times Best Sellers list!

A well-deserved congratulations to Craig Alanson, R.C. Bray, and their fans for helping the series end in the best way possible. Expeditionary Force spans across fifteen books released over the course of the last six years and has landed on The New York Times Best Sellers list a whopping eleven times. Once Podium paired the series with Audie-award winning narrator R.C. Bray, it quickly catapulted into the hearts of sci-fi fans with a heavy dose of military appeal. Quirky aliens. Sentient A.I. And, of course, no shortage of galactic space battles. Put simply, Craig Alanson and R.C. Bray have found their audience and consistently deliver.

Leading up to release day, ExForce fans were celebrated with a 15-week long listening challenge, handmade figurine giveaway, Facebook livestream, and more. Through these efforts, it’s clear how dedicated and diverse the ExForce community is and will continue to be. Fans from all over the world wrote in about their heartfelt ExForce memories and what the series meant to them, from stories of ExForce-themed honeymoons and Skippy tattoos to hearing how fans gravitated to the series in times of need. If not for the love and support of Joe, Skippy, and the Merry Band of Pirates, the success of the series wouldn’t have been possible without the fans.

Even though Skippy is still beside himself, Podium couldn’t be more proud of Craig Alanson, R.C. Bray, and the fiercely loyal community they’ve created with their talent and hard work. Cheers to them! Time to crack open a can of beer… (no, not that one).
